Sleeping Beauty

There's always going to be something special about seeing your first professional ballet.

True, I have seen a few local versions of The Nutcracker, but Pacific Northwest Ballet is something else entirely. Such colors! Such dancing! And all the excitement from last night that trickled into today has completely exhausted me, but The Sleeping Beauty was just beautiful.
Wouldn't it be something to dance on that stage?
I've been dancing since I was five years old, so if you're wondering what that giant blue shoe-like thing is behind the title of this blog, its a porcelain ballet slipper. :)

But I'm so tired! We got home at 12 a.m. last night and I stayed up until one a.m. watching the opening ceremony for the Olympics, which we had recorded since we were going to be gone all evening. So I just thought I'd listen to some Priscilla Ahn and add another entry to this little blog. :)
